This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1063000 and is part of the PA Eastern Army Aviation Training Site, National Guard.

As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, WG-8852-12, you will manage, monitor or perform overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance military aircraft. Request maintenance services exceeding AASF capabilities or time constraints. Control and perform work assignments based upon priorities, workload, availability of parts, facilities, material and personnel. Coordinate with maintenance supervisor(s) and production control on maintenance requirements to aircraft that require adjustment to changes in operational requirements. Oversee ground movement of aircraft. Incumbent launches, recovers, parks and services aircraft. Ensure Unit Level Logistics-Aviation (ULLS-A) and other aircraft documentation accurately reflects status and airworthiness of assigned aircraft. Clear Red X status symbols on aircraft forms for work performed by others. Plan, develop and conduct proficiency training during the technician work week to a multi-faceted workforce comprised of Full Time Support (FTS) and supported unit personnel. Prepare for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and support exercises. Comply with safety, fire, security, environmental, and housekeeping regulations. Ensures material and equipment are properly and safely maintained and protected. Perform other duties as assigned.
