This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month.

Responsibilities The primary purpose of this position as an Air Reserve Technician, to support the aviation resource management specialist in managing flying operations resources. Assists in scheduling and dispatching aircrews, obtaining flight clearances, maintaining aircrew training records, compiling reports, and maintaining required publications for Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) and other required publications. Inputs, updates, and retrieves aircrew data using Air Force ARMS at the squadron level. Enters aircrew flying and ground training accomplishments into ARMS. Assists the aviation resource management specialist in assessment of aviation resource management program and planning activities through analysis of data and reports and the determination of special pay allocations. At fighters unit locations may be assigned the following tasks.
